Glass Haus Styled Shoot: New Wedding Venue in Branson, Missouri
Glass Haus is a new wedding venue located in the heart of the Ozarks. Nestled on the south side of Table Rock Lake near Branson, Missouri, Glass Haus is a gorgeous local venue with a destination feel. Being a wedding photographer based out of Springfield, Missouri, I have never really considered Missouri to be a location for a “destination wedding,” but I feel like that has started to change in the last few years. With new, stunning venues popping up and popular attractions like Top of the Rock, Payne Valley, and Silver Dollar City, I have found myself working with more and more couples from out of state. Whether you are local to the area or not, if you are looking for a spacious venue that has breathtaking views, access to popular local spots, charming accommodations for family and friends, and a wonderful and warm family team, Glass Haus has it all! That’s why when they asked me to photograph a styled shoot to show off their new space, I was 100% in!
During the shoot, the couple started the day off with a morning yoga session led by Azarina Derbyshire. This is a new concept in the wedding industry and the idea is to spend some time together at the beginning of the day to feel relaxed, grounded, and connected before the potential stress of the wedding day begins.
After their yoga session, I began taking portraits around the property, starting with the incredible ceremony space overlooking the lake. The models for this project, Josh and Brooke, had gotten married about six months prior to the shoot, and they were an absolute pleasure to work with. Their love and chemistry together was so much fun to capture.
When the sun dipped below the horizon, the candles were lit and the “reception” began. The goal for the evening portion was to show off the stunning space, and give couples a vision of what it could look like on their special day. We did a mock first dance followed by fireworks outside. To finish off the shoot, we went to one of Glass Haus’ cabins with champagne and pizza in tow. Doesn’t that sound like a perfect way to end a perfect day marrying your best friend?
I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to photograph this styled shoot. The planner and designer of this project, Courtney Shaw, did an incredible job organizing everything and bringing her vision to life in a way that showcased all Glass Haus has to offer. A huge thank you to both Courtney and the owners of Glass Haus for allowing me to be part of this amazing project.
